Amala Paul (born 26 October 1991) is an Indian actress who predominantly appears in Tamil, Malayalam and Telugu films. She made her acting debut by appearing in a supporting role in the Malayalam-language film Neelathamara (2009). She won the Tamil Nadu State Film Award for Best Actress for playing the title role in Mynaa (2010). She has since starred in the films Deiva Thirumagal (2011), Run Baby Run (2012), Oru Indian Pranayakadha (2013), Velaiilla Pattadhari (2014), Mili (2015), for which she won the Filmfare Critics Award for Best Actress – South, and Aadai (2019).
