Chris Humphreys is a British actor, playwright and novelist. Born in Toronto, Ontario as the grandson of actor Cecil Humphreys, he was raised in Los Angeles, California until the age of seven and then grew up in the United Kingdom. For acting he is best known for his role in The Bill where he played PC Richard Turnham from 1989 to 1990. He has also been in A.D., Zorro, Coronation Street, Hawkeye, Dangerfield, Highlander: The Series, Goodnight Sweetheart, Wycliffe, Silent Witness, and The Core. He publishes historical adventure novels and young adult fantasy novels under the name C.C. Humphreys. The main character for his Jack Absolute series is based on the main character of the play The Rivals by Richard Brinsley Sheridan. In 2017, Humphreys was interviewed for The Bill Podcast, sharing memories from his time making The Bill as well as stories about his life and career in general.
