Nuri Bilge Ceylan (Turkish pronunciation: [ˈnuːɾi ˈbilɟe ˈdʒejlan], born 26 January 1959) is a Turkish film director, photographer, screenwriter and actor. Several of Ceylan's films have been met with widespread critical acclaim. He won the Palme d'Or, the highest prize at the Cannes Film Festival, in 2014, for his film Winter Sleep.He is married to filmmaker, photographer, and actress Ebru Ceylan, with whom he co-starred in Climates (2006). He directed his cousin Mehmet Emin Toprak in three films.
