John Burnside

For the American gay activist and inventor (1916–2008), see John Burnside (inventor). John Burnside (born 19 March 1955) is a Scottish writer, born in Dunfermline. He is one of only three poets (the others being Ted Hughes and Sean O'Brien) to have won both the T. S. Eliot Prize and the Forward Poetry Prize for the same book (Black Cat Bone).
