David John Lowry (born February 14, 1965) is a Canadian former professional ice hockey player and current head coach of the Brandon Wheat Kings (WHL). He played in the National Hockey League (NHL) from 1985 to 2004. Lowry's sons, Adam and Joel, were drafted by the Winnipeg Jets and the Los Angeles Kings, respectively. Adam currently plays for the Winnipeg Jets in the National Hockey League (NHL). Joel played for the Cornell Big Red in ECAC Hockey for four seasons, and is currently playing for the Springfield Thunderbirds, while under contract to the Florida Panthers.
