There is no theatre-goer who would refuse to go backstage. Rehearsals and creative talks in the wings, parties and intrigues, flirts and tears, success and failure… This is what Viktor Shamirov’s comedy is about. Ironically and skilfully the film tells about the life of a touring company of actors – that life which is hard and cruel, mysterious and attractive, ridiculous and tragic. A small group of Moscow actors goes on tour to several large Russian cities. The circumstances, events and motifs of the heroes are largely borrowed from real events which happened in the lives of the authors.
