José Pedro Balmaceda Pascal (American Spanish: [xoˈse ˈpeðɾo βalmaˈseða pasˈkal]; born April 2, 1975), known professionally as Pedro Pascal, is a Chilean-American actor. He is best known for portraying the roles of Oberyn Martell in the fourth season of the HBO fantasy series Game of Thrones and Javier Peña in the Netflix biographical crime series Narcos. He starred in Kingsman: The Golden Circle as Agent Whiskey, and in a lead role in The Great Wall. In 2018, he starred as the main antagonist in The Equalizer 2 alongside Denzel Washington. He is currently set to star as the title character in the upcoming live-action Star Wars series The Mandalorian on Disney+ in 2019 and will appear in Wonder Woman 1984 in 2020.
